Documents Required for Applying to Australia Universities
Here are discussions about each requirement needed for admission to Australian universities.
Academic Transcripts
An academic transcript is one of the most important documents needed in the application for Australian universities. It is a single document issued by the study institutes.
This contains a student's overall scorecard and some other course-related information in a concise format—students who are applying need to submit their entire scores in the transcripts in the English language.
Marksheets and Certificates
Students must also submit relevant copies of their mark sheets and passing certificates. For example, if you are admitted into a master's program, you must submit your 10th and 12th mark sheets, passing certificates along with your bachelor's degree certificates.
Letter of Recommendation
Besides scores for applying to universities in Australia, an essential document is a letter of recommendation for undergraduate and master's programs.
The recommendation letter must be from your previous college professor or manager, and it must showcase the skills, achievements, and expertise you have at your college at the professional level. The norm is to submit a minimum of two reference letters.
Entrance Exam Score Cards
The entrance exam test scores will vary from college to college, and with the program, you choose to study. You need to check your program for the tests and ensure you have secured those scores for the safest admission.
Some of the important entrance exams are SAT, ACT, MCAT, LSAT, GMAT or GRE, etc.
English Proficiency Test Scores
If you are coming from non-native English-speaking countries, you need to show your language scores for admission. This is important for studying at any Australian university. The most popular English Language Proficiency Tests are IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE.
Statement of Purpose
Students may or may not be required to submit their SOP online mode. If you want to send it via a courier facility make sure that the SOP is printed on good quality paper with a header written with your name.
Work Experience
If you are a working professional or have done any internship, then submitting the work experience letters will stay ahead of other applicants.
Essays
Most Australian universities ask their students to submit a personal essay along with the application. This essay might be based on any random topic or a topic which is reflecting your interest in the field or program you want to study. The minimum essay required by the university must be at least two or three.
Resume
A Resume may carry all your information such as your objectives, qualifications, work experience, internships, test scores, certificate, and projects you have done in your bachelor's study, and mention your co-curricular and extracurricular activities too in it.
Passport
Having a passport is necessary to study at any study abroad institution in Australia. In case you don't have one, you can file for a passport well in advance. Make sure to keep the passport ready with you prior to the schedule of your entrance tests.
Proof of Financial Resources
If you are getting admission in Australia or any other country, you must show your proof of Financial Resources to authorities. This is required by the university to ensure that you can afford the education and living costs in Australia.
Apart from this, you can also submit some other documents too in the application such as your co-curricular achievement, research papers, etc for admission. Make sure that all these documents are neatly packed with a green-headed cover. However, you must cross-check all the document requirements by visiting the official website before sending it out to the university.
